Draft pending professional review. This text has not yet been reviewed by an attorney.
This policy explains what information Fajr Tax & Advisory (“Fajr,” “we”) collects through fajrtax.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. If you become a client, your engagement letter and our client data practices also apply.
Information we collect
Ask Fajr questions
Ask Fajr does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or an account. We store the topic you choose, the text of your question, the date, your publication consent, any response we write, and a cryptographic fingerprint of your private link. We do not store the private link itself and cannot recover it.
Ask Fajr is designed to be anonymous, but no website can promise absolute anonymity. Your question text could identify you if it contains personal details, so please leave them out. Our software screens for and blocks some identifying details, such as Social Security and phone numbers.
Contact inquiries
If you send an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, topic, and message so we can reply.
Scheduling
Consultation scheduling is provided by a third-party scheduling service. Information you enter there is handled under that provider’s privacy policy.
Technical data
Like any website, our hosting and security providers process technical data such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Our application does not save IP addresses with questions or inquiries. To limit abuse, it keeps short-lived, in-memory counters keyed to a one-way fingerprint of your IP address, which are discarded within 24 hours. Server logs we control record the page requested and response status, without IP addresses, private links, or question text.
Cookies and analytics
Public pages do not set cookies. A strictly necessary cookie is used only for administrator sign-in. If we enable website analytics, we will use a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies or build profiles, and it will never run on Ask Fajr response pages.
How we use information
- To review and respond to questions and inquiries.
- To publish paraphrased, anonymized versions of selected questions and general answers in the public Ask Fajr library, only where the submitter consented in advance.
- To protect the website against spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Publication of questions
We never publish an original submission. When we select a question for the public library, we rewrite it in our own words and remove names, amounts, places, dates, and other details that could identify anyone. Your private link and original wording are never published.
Retention
We keep Ask Fajr submissions and inquiries only as long as needed for the purposes above, generally no longer than 365 days after they are answered or closed, after which they are deleted. Published library entries contain no submitter information and may be kept indefinitely.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, multifactor authentication for administrators, and one-way fingerprints for private links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us to delete an Ask Fajr question by emailing info@fajrtax.com with its reference number. Because we do not know who submitted a question, we may ask you to show the private link to confirm. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of inquiry information by emailing us.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the revised version on this page with a new date.
